Movement Breakdown

Jab (Left Hand):

Extend your lead hand (left hand for orthodox stance, right hand for southpaw) quickly and forcefully toward your target. Rotate your shoulder and hip slightly to add power to the jab. Keep your right hand (or lead hand) close to your face for protection as you jab.

Cross (Right Hand):

After the jab, immediately throw a straight punch with your rear hand (right hand for orthodox, left hand for southpaw). Pivot your back foot slightly to the left and rotate your hips and shoulders to generate power for the cross. Keep your left hand close to your face for defense while you execute the cross.

Hook (Left Hand):

Following the cross, bend your left arm at a 90-degree angle and swing your lead hand in a hooking motion. Rotate your lead hip and shoulder into the hook for power. Keep your right hand up to protect your face as you throw the hook.

Uppercut (Right Hand):

After the hook, pivot on your lead foot and bend your rear arm at a 90-degree angle. Launch an uppercut punch with your rear hand, driving it upward and forward. Rotate your hips and shoulders to add power to the uppercut. Keep your left hand close to your face as you throw the uppercut.

Performing a front kick is a fundamental technique in various martial arts and self-defense disciplines. Here are step-by-step instructions on how to execute a front kick effectively:

Lift Your Knee: Lift your knee on the same side as your dominant foot, bringing it up toward your chest. Keep your knee bent, and your toes should point slightly downward.

Extend Your Leg: As you start to kick, extend your leg quickly and forcefully. Keep your toes pointed and your foot flat. The lower part of your leg (shin) should be parallel to the ground.

Recoil Your Leg: After making contact with the target or executing the kick, quickly retract your leg back to its starting position. This ensures you maintain balance and can follow up with additional techniques if needed.
